New dance partner for Firestick

The commencement of the 2009 season of Sydney Dance Company under the artistic direction of Rafael Bonachela coincides with another first – the announcement of Firestick wines as the Company’s exclusive national wine partner.

Firestick, one of the three brands in the Poole’s Rock Wines portfolio, will sponsor Sydney Dance Company for three years, an alliance that celebrates the energy and popularity of contemporary dance.

The partnership continues Poole’s Rock Wines ongoing commitment to the arts. Stable mate brands Poole’s Rock previously supported Opera Australia and Cockfighter’s Ghost was the primary sponsor of the Sydney Writer’s Festival for a decade.

The Firestick portfolio will be featured at the Sydney Dance Café, Pier 4 and at selected events during the SDC’s national 2009 touring program, which includes performances in Adelaide, Melbourne, Newcastle, Canberra and a Sydney return season in November.

In conjunction with the SDC partnership the Firestick varietal range has been expanded to include the new sparkling Firestick Brut NV the ideal choice to toast the future success of Sydney Dance Company and its talented artists.

The strikingly packaged Firestick portfolio encompasses six wines including Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé, Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot, which are available nationally from selected fine wine stockists.
